Professor Shi Dingxu from Hong Kong Polytechnic University Visited A&F

    On April 15, Professor Shi Dingxu, Vice Dean of Humanities College, Hong Kong Polytechnic University visited A&F and gave the report Humanities Education and General Education of Hong Kong Universities Students at the symposium conducted in Sijiu Pavilion on A & F north campus. Dean of Innovative Experimental College, Professor Wang Guodong presided over the symposium. Representatives from College of Innovation Experiment, College of Humanities, Student Affairs Division, University Committee of Communist Youth League and Department of Ideology and Politics attended the symposium, along with graduate students of Education major from College of Humanities.

    At the symposium, Professor Shi systematically introduced the education spirit and curriculum of humanities and general education in universities of Hong Kong. He then detailed his speech in terms of education objectives, curriculum and teaching content, covering General education of Humanities, entrance education of new-enrolled students, improvement of leadership and organization capability, community service and health education.

    Later, Professor Shi communicated with the leaders and teachers present, sharing experience in class-teaching allocation and teaching content. They also exchanged ideas in the similarities and differences in reformation in quality-oriented education and general education between mainland universities and Hong Kong universities. The reported Professor Shi offered was beneficial to the education and teaching reformation and curriculum of our university.
