To familiarize the form teachers of Y2015 students with their responsibility in freshmen reception and orientation, CIE held a meeting at Lizhi Workshop of Youren College on August 28th . Deputy secretary of College Party Department Mr. Yunfeng Qu, all instructors and freshmen form teachers attended the conference.

At the meeting, Mr. Yunfeng Qu introduced the college history, organizations, educational philosophy and modes. He pointed out that CIE has been practicing the concepts of personalized cultivation, small class teaching, students’ freedom to select courses, majors and supervisors. CIE has also carried out a whole process of scientific research training, gradually formed a multi-level and multi-stage scientific research guiding system. It attaches great importance to expanding students’ international vision. In addition to foreign teachers-conducted courses, the college also hold many foreign professor seminars annually. College management system is now in pilot run where the students enjoy the special accommodation in Youren College. Afterwards, Mr. Qu explained the cultivating mode “2+x” in detail and emphasized the connotation of the curricular system “two passages- three stages- one module”.

College instructor Rui Han explained work and responsibility of form teacher and shared work experience of year one students’ orientation education. Instructor Aiqin Wang, made a report on specific work arrangement of freshmen in military training. Form teachers discussed on varied policies of college and proposed suggestions for students’ daily education and management.
