Mr. Wang Haiqiang Conducted Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry Experiments
From: CIE Teaching Affairs Office      By: Zhang Ziyi & Ma Chuan      Date: 2018-05-28

At 2:30pm on May 23, 2018, the "Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry Experiment" course of Class 1703 of CIE biotechnology base-class was conducted in A114 laboratory of Science Building. The course was taught by Mr. Wang Haiqiang. The main content of the study was the preparation of EDTA standard solution and the determination of tap water hardness.

To better conduct experiments, at the beginning of the course, the teacherdescribed the relevant principles of the experiment, including the reaction of EDTA with calcium and magnesium ions in tap water, the equation for the reaction of the color reagents with calcium and magnesium ions, and the coloration of the products. Following the first session, Mr. Wang gave a demonstration of the correct operation method. The students learned the theory and how to do the experiment. In the end, Mr. Wang gave a comprehensive description of the experimental steps, which gave the students a clear idea of the experiment and helped to complete the experiment in an orderly manner.

While experimenting, Ms. Wang walked around lab, gave detailed instruction to the students in need and helped the students find their problems and work out the solutions.

Through this experimental course, the students not only mastered the relevant principles and knowledge, but also learned experimental methods. Everyone has benefited greatly, and will be  more hard-wroking for greater progress.
