On June 9th, 2018, the evaluation of the CIE 2018 Final Thesis Defense was carried out on schedule in the No. 3 teaching building. 135 graudates majoring in bioengineering, biological science and biotechnology were required to participated in this grand event, while other majors finished their final defense in other colleges respectively. 

According to the direction of the undergraduate major and the thesis research selected by the students, CIE divided the students who participated in the defense into five groups. Professors from 7 different colleges were invited to be judges. They were from  the College of Life Sciences, the College of Animal Medicine and Vetarinary, the College of Animal Science and Technology, the College of Agriculture, the College of Chemistry and Pharmacy, the College of Plant Protection and the College of Food Science and Engineering. 

At the defense, showing their ideas with slides, the students reported their researches in terms of the topic selection, approach and innovation. The ten-minute report covered their specific analysis of the aporia in related researches. In a variety of ways, the students beautifully handle the challenges posed by the panels, illustrating ideas with abundant evidence and logical  analysis. Their good master of knowledge, strong critical thinking and the air of calmness successfully impressed the judges and activated the atmophere. 

Final theis, an important part of the undergraduate teaching practice, plyaing a key role in fulfilling the talent training objectives and evaluating the students’ learning outcomes. CIE has always attached great importance to the defense, and has made careful arrangements for the graduation thesis (design) defense work to ensure the order of this event. CIE has been making great efforts in the education and training of students, promoting the cultivation of innovative and entrepreneurial talents,contributing deveotedly to the NWAFU’s "Double First-class" construction.
