That is Our Wonderful Summer Vocation!

The summer vocation of Y2017 to CIE students means a great opportunity for “charging their battery”. Over 100 CIE students came back in advance of new term or chose to stay during the summer vocation. They were highly engaged in the Undergraduate Students’ Innovative Experiment Programme or the self-conducted experiments. Lin Feifei, a student of grade 2016 who came back to university during the scorching summer shared her feelings: “ Different from the semester occupied by courses, activities and experiments, the summer vocation allow me a abundance of time to focus on one thing---my experiment.” Shen Zhentong, a student of grade  2015 chose to stay for his experiment, hoping to have his research and practice ability improved through centralized training.

Another group of CIE students spent their holiday on social practice activities. Some went for internship in companies, some for rural area supporting programme while some for survey of  poverty alleviation project. Yuan Hongyu, a Y2016 students attended the supporting programme, who said, “This social practice activity allow me to join in the real social affairs. And the programme of Jingyang Fu Tea is just what I am interested in. I hope to make my contribution to the development of this special tea.” Wu Peng, a student of year 2015 spent his holiday in Qiaobu Online Resume Company as an intern student. “ This piece experience does further my understanding of the operation trainees’ duty and the knowledge I need to acquire more”, said by the young intern student. Zhu Yulian is a student of grade 2016, who joined the survey of poverty alienation programme. “ My experience in this social practice enriches my understanding of Chinese poverty alienation policies and the responsibilities we shoulder as college students,” she said.

There were some other students who took part in the study tour in China and overseas countries. “To see is to believe. Knowledge should not be learned from text book only, but from systematic observation and practice. The more you experience, the more you enriched.” said by He Daijia, a student who attended study tour to Oklahoma State University. Bai Yichen, a student attending summer camp of Peking University said, “ In addition to the professional knowledge, I , from this campus, took away the spirits a qualified researchers should have. I To be a real scholar, be a man first.”   

It is said that, some other CIE students were also fully occupied with preparing for driving licence test, for Computer Test( Level II) and National English Contest for College Student. It really is a fruitful summer holiday!
