The 3rd College Student Manner and Etiquette Contest Rounded off

The 3rd College Student Manner and Etiquette Contest kicked off in Xiushan Activity Center on the evening of November 23rd. 13 college delegations passing the pre-selection entered the finale, among which CIE delegation obtained the 5th place in the pre-selection. 

The competition was composed of manner performance and creative demonstration. Manner performance included standing posture, sitting posture, squatting posture, leading posture, and handshake. CIE delegation employed the slogan of “A person cannot establish himself without manner; Manner should be developed as the new trend” and won the audiences’ appreciations through elegant performance. In this round, CIE delegation received remarkable grades. 

In the second round of creative demonstration, 13 delegations used the form of scene play to show the appropriate manners in various social occasions. CIE delegation put their focus on the urban management manner in China Yangling Agricultural Hi-tech Fair. They paid attention to the trifle things in daily life and taught the audiences the basic manner and etiquette. 

Hou Renjie from Class Biotech 1703 said, “Manner and etiquette are developed through the long history. They are the stable culture in every nation. China has been the state of ceremonies. Every Chinese should observe and show manners. This event earned me more etiquette knowledge and helped me understand the importance of manner.” Zhao Xingyu from Class Biotech 1704 said, “I have always admired the reception team for their hard training. They did not even have time for dinner before this contest. I am very grateful for their efforts.” 

Manner is the important part of Chinese culture. This contest not only promoted Chinese culture heritage but also demonstrate college students’ etiquette.
