The Youth Entrepreneurship Convergence, sponsored by NWAFU Communist Youth League Committee, Innovation Experimental College and Foreign Languages Department and supported by the national policy of encouraging university students to innovate and start a business, was held at 4:30 pm on May 31 at the Chuangkekongjian Café. The salon, with the purpose of popularizing the knowledge, stimulating the enthusiasm, taping the potential and creating the atmosphere in favor of entrepreneurship, has provided a free platform for face-to-face conversations with entrepreneurial biggies. Chen Zhe, the founder of Yangling Hongnong Artware Design Studio, and Ren Yongwei, CEO of Biaoguo Fruit Store took part in the salon sharing and exchanging their entrepreneurial experience.

Experience Exchange: Standing on the Shoulders of the Predecessors

Chen Zhe, a Grade 14 undergraduate from the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering and the founder of Yangling Hongnong Artware Design Studio, has won the Bronze Award of the 2nd Internet + College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 1st Prize of the 3rd “Zhitongweilai” Resume Competition. Talking about entrepreneurship, he said with smile: "I am a ‘restless’ person who is willing to try new things." He shared his experience in terms of "the motivation for starting a business", "his own understanding of entrepreneurship" and " the students' understanding of entrepreneurship". Also, Chen Zhe reminded at the end of the exchange: "Of course, you must start from your own major, combining what you’ve learned with entrepreneurship. It is not feasible to innovate for the sake of innovation and start a business for the sake of entrepreneurship.”

Ren Yongwei, a Grade 16 undergraduate from the College of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, is the CEO of Biaoguo Fruit Store and the legal person of Yangling Zhuxuan Network Technology Co., Ltd. In 2017, he hosted the provincial entrepreneurship project of the University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. Ren started the exchange with a multiple-choice question, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of three employment modes. Later, he shared his experience from operating the public account to serving in the catering industry and then to running Biaoguo Fruit Store. In terms of entrepreneurial motivation, he said: "it is relatively easy to start a business with clear answers of 'who am I', 'where do I come from' and 'where am I going'."

Q&A: A Talk between Novices and Biggies

In the final interactive session, Chen Zhe and Ren Yongwei answered the questions raised by students present. Li Ping, from Class 1704 of the Innovation Experimental College, said: “the predecessors swept away my puzzlement about starting a business. We will definitely go smoothly on the way of entrepreneurship."
Everyone is endowed with talents for eventual use. Innovation and entrepreneurship create a bright future. Finally, the Youth Entrepreneurship Convergence ended with bursts of warm applause.
