To improve the students’ practical competence and stimulate their creativity, CIE held the acceptance inspection and mid-term inspection of 2019 Sci-tech Innovation Training Projects on September 26th. Experts from College of Life Science, College of Animal Science and Technology, College of Veterinary Medicine and College of Food Science and Engineering were invited to serve as the panel. There were in all 34 projects of Year 2019 inspected for acceptance, including 1 national project, 6 of provincial level, and 27 key projects of university level. The rest 12 projects for mid-term inspection are all two-year projects formed in 2019. 

At the defense, some project member was asked to give a 5-minute presentation before the Q&A change session. The group members were allowed to choose to accept the challenge according to their roles in the project. For the part of the panel, their job was to check the work diary, listen to and analyze the presentation, evaluate and grade the students’ performance and gave constructive suggestions.　　

A student named Ding Ka, share the feelings after the defense, “ I am very grateful for be given this opportunity of learning. We have gained so much from the one-year project, every single of us. We have attained knowledge of scientific research, skills of defense and ability to compose articles or reports, and the team spirits, too. That’s undoubtedly a piece of unforgettable memory too all of us.”

As they benefited from their experience in taking part in the defense, the students’ won the praise of the panel as well. The students’ progress and excellent performance profoundly suggest the CIE’s devotion and the students’ great interest in sci-tech innovation.
