| | On the evening of October the 21th, Executive Vice Dean and Party Secretary of our college, Professor Chen Yuchun organized an open communication meeting with our college students in grade 2010, which was in the theme of Knowing New Cognitive Model, Setting New Goal and Adapting to New life. The meeting was held in multimedia classroom in our college building.
At the meeting, Professor Chen communed with the students about the three topics. He started from the introduction to our college establishment background, management system and operation mechanism, cultivation model, internationalization cultivation and students management system, then moved on to the emphasis on college development in recent years and the outstanding achievements made by students. He encourage the students adjust themselves to the new life and study at university. He also pointed out that the correct self-identity, scientific and practical plan on study career, the setting of new goal were essential at the first stage of being a qualified college student. The students were supposed to take advantage of the platform constructed by university and college, to study independently, to be innovative in practice, to strive for being a top-notch innovative talents with rich academic knowledge and strong practice ability. Professor Chen gave satisfactory and encouraging answers to all the questions raised by students. The meeting went smoothly in lively atmosphere.
This communication activity gave timely help to students to know better about college curriculum, teaching organization, ability training and selection and grading work, which also eliminated their confusions in new environment.
Henceforth, leaders of our college will organized more communication meetings or activities in variety. Such regular activity aims at building a lively communication environment and getting the voices of students heard, to promote the development of both students and college.
