| | On evening of 26th, December, the series lectures for freshmen, Discipline Acquaintance for Future Plan, was conducted in multimedia classroom of our college at third phase. Vice Dean of College of Plant Protection, Doctoral supervisor, Professor Huang Lili was invited to give report of Understanding Major and Setting Academic Goal for Future Career to the freshmen of our college. Vice Party Secretary of our college Qu Yunfeng was present and hosted the report meeting.
Prof. Huang briefly introduced the general information of College of Plant Protection, which mainly covered details in faculty, disciplinary construction and scientific research. For her rich experience in instructing the College Students' Innovative Experiment Programme, she explained in details the application, conduction, conclusion and presentation of the programme, in particular the importance of team coorperation and time allocation.
She encouraged the students to follow the footprints of academic masters, to take advantage of university's available and abundant resources, to bring their own initiation to full play and to serve our country with the principles of diligence, pragmatic, carefulness, innovation and devotion. In addition, they were supposed to explore the new area and promote the development of science with innovative spirit.
Her report was more than informative and attractive. She explained the profound and complicated affairs in simple ways which made the information more accessible to the students. The students benefited much from the report, especially on the major, platform and faculty of plant protection discipline, which offered significant help in their application for the College Students' Innovative Experiment Programme next year.
