On March 31st, our college invited college academic advisor Associate Professor Wang Xin as distinguished report for lecture on Biotechnology and Modern Life, in the multimedia classroom of our college. Approximately hundred undergraduate students of 2010 attended the lecture.

    Associate Professor Wang's lecture, with the aid of English PPT, involved the definition of biotechnology, its development history, its application in modern life and advanced science and technology adopted, which further students' understanding about the topic. Illustrated with vivid pictures, his speech was also informative as to the discipline construction of College of Animal Science, including college academic status , construction of disciplinary base and system, organization of academic team and academic accomplishment achived. Vice Professor Wang showed his sincere welcome to students willing to specialize in animal science and contribute to the development of this discipline. 

    The lecture Associate Professor gave, was so informative and detailed that fascinated the student audience who were active to consult with Mr. Wang about the study and problems in scientific research they were interested in.
