On the morning of 7th March, 2014, the delegate from Northwestern Polytechnical University visited our college, including President Assistant of NWPU Professor Wan Xiaopeng, Dean of Honors College Sun Shudong, Associate Dean Yang Yongfu, Wang Yuling and Wang Yi. Vice president of A&F professor Zhao Zhong, Director of A&F Academic Affairs Division Chen Yulin, Dean of CIE Chen Yuchun, Party Secretary of CIE Sun Yu’ai, and other CIE heads warmly welcome the visitors. A symposium was organized for the communication between the two parties mainly on the reform of education and teaching and the cultivation of top-notch talents.

The symposium was initiated with the introduction to CIE delivered by Dean Chen Yuchun, covering the background of college establishment in the year 2008, the college organizations, recruitment, students selection and redistribution, “2+X” cultivation model, course elective system, mentor system, teaching reformed accelerated by the appointed-teaching system, as well as the cultivation model of undergraduate-postgraduate.

Party Secretary of CIE briefly introduced the establishment and construction of Youren college, emphasizing the aim of which is to providing the students with a climate of freedom for their self-management and development.

President Assistant of NWPU Professor Wan Xiaopeng shared at the meeting the organization and teaching system of Honors College of NWPU, as the heads of Honors College shared with the heads of CIE the education experience and extended their appreciation on the success of CIE in teaching reform.

After the meeting, the guests also visited the workshops of Youren College.
