On the morning of May 6th, the The First Poster Fair of Research Projects was held on north campus. Hosted by A&F Academic Affairs Office and sponsored by Innovative Experimental College, this fair was expected to enhance the students’ abilities to think critically, creatively and cross-disciplinarily, and their abilities to demonstrate and analyze research products by skillful application of the research language and devices.

The fair commenced from April 1st, whose candidates were college students once participating scientific innovation projects before. Having been fully evaluated by the experts, 24 works stood out of the preliminary contest. At 10:00 a.m. on May 6th, College of Innovative Experiment held the exhibition fair and review meeting. Delicately-designed poster demonstrated and illustrated the research philosophy, research methods, experiment approaches and research findings of each research project. All participants were responsive to the questions raised by teachers and students. The fair was going well in lively atmosphere, teacher judges and the student judges graded and voted for each poster after their full examination. The exhibition will end on May 9th, and the awarding ceremony and winners’ briefing will be held on the morning of May 13, from 9:00am-11am, in the multimedia classroom of Innovative Experiment College.

Research Poster has been playing a vital role in demonstrating the research products, widely accepted as a major means of expression and communication in academic field. Ever since their first college year, students of our college have been enjoying the opportunities for improving their ability to do scientific research, like engaging in Student-hosted scientific research experiment, undergraduates’ innovative experimental project, academic supervisor-guided scientific research training which all turned out to be a productive practice. It is obviously that this fair served to promote the communication in research products. The dispute in academic research can work to spark the inspiration and expand the academic outlook of the students who in turn will find themselves enthusiastic in the innovative practice of scientific research and enriched in body of knowledge. The fair is two-win activity, for one thing, which helps the students to get systematic understanding of scientific research projects and enhance their scientific research abilities to make posters, demonstrate products and exchange ideas, for another, which thickens the academic and research atmosphere university-wide and enlightens the participants in a way.
