Few days ago, a lecture on Accumulation of Literature of Scientific Research was given by the college academic mentor Chen Yingying, for the Bioengineering majors grade 2011. This lecture was expected to improve the students' primary scientific research competence and lay foundation for the student-conducted experiment during the coming third semester in summer vocation.

With our college training program and objectives fully considered, the lecturer commenced the report with demonstrating how significant role the primary scientific research ability plays in personal development, followed by details in classification, grade and specification of different journals, both of which were much of help for the college students innovative experiment program and student-conducted experiments. In addition, her lecture focused on the way and skills of searching and reading the natural science literature in university's data base of full-text electronic journals. What' s more, she encouraged the students to take advantage of university-offered electronic journals and the books in the library. When confronted with some questions concerning scientific research, the students could benefit from the available resources., who were suggested to       learn to study, think and practice on their own. Finally, the mentor shared her viewpoints on the college students' study, professional plan, emotional affairs as well as their social responsibilities.

Our college has alway been attaching great importance to training students' innovative quality and scientific research competence. In addition to the series of report organized for the junior college  students, seminars given by many guest experts including Thousand Talent Plan Candidate Professor Liu Tongxian of A&F, Houju Scholar Professor Wang Tonghui, Professor Sha Naijun from University of Texas at El Paso were well-organized for the senior college students as well. Our college have been constantly making full use of any available resources for the goal of comprehensive development of students.
