To broaden students horizon, to enhance their scientific research ability and to improve their humanity, our college worked out 2010-2011 Summer Vocation Teaching Plan of Innovative Experimental College, organizing various teaching and social practice activities. During this summer vocation, 8 optional two-week courses were offered for all students of grade 2010, while the second Wageningen University Honor Students Program was lauched and over 40 students delegates went to revolutionary base Yan'an City for patriotism education.

From August 15th  to 26th, our college offered two-week optional courses for all students of grade 2010, including Social Investigation Methods, Overview of Sociology, The Adventure of Humanity, College Chinese,Chinese History, Cross-cultural Communication, Ecological Culture and Scientific Research Methods and Science Paper Writing which were all popular among students. Teachers' professional knowledge and full preparation in teaching, along with students' passion and enthusiasm in learning significantly contributed to the high teaching efficiency.

The course of Scientific Research Methods and Science Paper Writing conducted by Miss Zheng Huiling enjoyed the largest number of students. By referring to the advanced teaching model and methods of WU, Miss Zheng who once participated in Honor Students Program of WU and A&F informed students of the core knowledge to enhance their scientific thinking and develop their abilities, which may greatly contribute to their success in College Students Scientific Innovation Program.

During this vocation, some students of grade 2009 took part in the Second Honor Students Program of WU. In subsequent three weeks, Doctor Nico Heerink from Wageningen University will offer the course of Rural Household Economics for Economic Management majors while Doctor Egbert Kanis will give lectures on Animal Breeding and Genetics for Animal Science majors, Associate Professor Loes Maas and Doctor Egbert Kanis will co-conduct classes on Research Methodology and Scientific Writing for both the two majors. Full-prepared teaching of professors, absorbed students and innovative teaching method of group discussion all contribute to stimulating students' initiation and livening class atmosphere.

With joint effort of our college teachers and students, teaching in summer vocation experiences smooth implementation and is coming to its perfect end. Students have learnt and benefited a lot during this period. Meanwhile, our college never allows the break-off of refining itself. Our college summed up the experiences in previous attempts and analysed the problems in professional selection of grade 2009 and academic assessment of grade 2008, which will be helpful for the promotion of personalized training of students and the selection of students in grade 2011.
