The time for graduates of 2016 leaving is approaching. Before bidding farewell to each other, the student representatives and all faculty of CIE organized and took part in the memorial trees planting activity. The cherry-apple trees recorded the love and gratitude of the two parties who are bound to be tied emotionally forever.
Leaded by CIE Dean Mr. Ou Wenjun, the group dug holes, placed in the trees, filling in earth and then watered the newly planted trees. With the joint efforts of teachers and students, two cherry-apple trees were located in front of the CIE administration building. Then, the students hung up a board marked Memorial Tree of CIE Y2016 Graduates, showing their sentimental attachment and good wishes to CIE and their peers.
After the activity, all CIE faculty and this year’s graduated took several group photos, freezing the good time in their memory.
It has been a CIE tradition ever since the establishment of college in 2008, that each year’s graduate plant trees before leaving school. It is an outlet of the students to show their love and gratitude to teachers and to the college, and good wishes on CIE’s part to encourage the students to stick to their dreams.
