28 CIE students of Y2015, Y2014 and Y2013 groups gathered in front of Xiushan Center on north campus, ready to heading for NWAFU Kiwi-fruit Field Station at Meixian county for their field practice. The group was lead by the CIE dean Mr. Ou Wenjun and teachers of college teaching affairs office.
As soon as they reached the destination, the students were brought to the field lecture of professor Yang Kaibao from NWAFU College of Natural Resources and Environment. Professor Yang lead the students to the gazebo where they enjoyed a full view of the site, then to the five sections of the station--- seedling breeding section, new variety breeding section, demonstration section of new techniques, experimental field section of key varieties and germplasm resources collection and preservation section.
This field trip greatly enriched the visitors’ knowledge and experience, laying solid foundation for their future research. It is also a successful attempt that it helps them to figure out what they like most and what they will chose as life-long career.
