CIE held Y2016 parents meeting on the afternoon of August 20th. This meeting plays an initiative role in establishing Schooling&Parenting Cooperation System, aiming at enhancing the tie between the college and the parents. Senior staff of CIE, most of parents of year 2016 freshmen, CIE students’ counselors and staff of college teaching affairs office attended the meeting.

First, CIE dean Mr.Ou Wenjun extended his sincere thanks to the parents of year 2016 CIE freshmen for their strong support. He then made a brief introduction to CIE, including college history, development, innovative cultivation program and curriculum.

Next, associated dean Mr. Wang Xiaoping explained in details the educational characteristics, top-notch innovative talents cultivation model and multi-talents cultivation system. CIE, the experimental plot of NWAFU’s undergraduate educational reform, has always been oriented with the innovative talents cultivation, focusing on the general education, individualized and multiple personnel training, students’-interested-centered education, innovative ability training and scientific research ability of CIE students.

Then, CIE Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Qu Yunfeng made a brief report on the moral education and student management based on college system. He restated the educational philosophy of Schooling&Parenting Cooperation System. He hoped that all parents of freshmen would be happy to pitch into the cooperation for the sake of new students. QQ group and Wechat group have come into service and all parents are welcome to join the communication, Mr. Wang said in his report. 

At Q&A session, the host organization and the guests had an in-depth communication in students’ college life plan, faculties, teaching resources and facilities, employment after graduation, overseas study program and other issues of studying at CIE. Madame Wang from Shandong province shared her feelings with us, saying: We have no idea of this university and college the moment we came to Yangling. This parents meeting is a timely help to us. We now at least have a rough idea of the educational philosophy, curriculum and the employment after graduation. We, therefore, are much relived and confident that CIE is the best choice.
