Taster class of flipped classroom was introduced to Advanced Maths course for Y2016 CIE students. The new-model-based classes were given on the October 13th in N8511 and N8402 by Mr. Zheng Lifei with 4 class assistants.
Designed to improve the students’ ability of self-study and co-research, the activity requires the students to work in groups and prepare for the class discussion on composite functions, implicit functions and parametric equation. The inspiring design of teaching activity soon eliminate the confusion and inconfidence of the young participants who gradually adapt to the public speaking. Mr. Zheng took every intervals between the turns to do supplementary explanation, which enabled the class more cohesive and ordered.
The trial of flipped classroom provides the student with chances to learn knowledge and improve their abilities. It would be very helpful for their future study and research.
