On the evening of November 9th and 10th, CIE held debriefing of middle-term teaching inspection. CIE heads, including Party Secretary Li Haihua, Deputy Party Secretary Qu Yunfeng and Associated Dean Wang Xiaoping, and CIE office faculty Mr. Ma Chuan attended the symposium with the students representatives.

At the debriefing, the students voiced the problems confronted themselves and their peers. Then, the CIE heads shared their ideas in dealing with the difficulties for the students and gave instructive suggestions responsively. The teachers also encouraged the students to sought for help from the students of senior year grade and academic mentors. It will be very helpful for the students to initiated research training with the guidance of their mentors, and then to apply for the student-conducted experiments. Teachers suggested the students attend the evening classes persistently, in which the prevision, revision and study reflection could be well-accomplished timely for the solidity of fundamental knowledge.

CIE students are allowed to chose their discipline in their first academic year, their majors and mentors in the second academic year and finish the optional courses and research training in the third year.

The personalized cultivation program brings the students opportunities and challenges, as which requires their rigor in scientific research and character of being down-to-earth and goal-oriented in study. The students are also expected to participate the summer term courses and major courses taught in English.
