From August 2nd to 4th, the 2nd National Conference on Innovative Teaching of Mathematics Curriculum in Colleges and Universities was held in Yili of Xinjiang, which had over 100 college teachers from all over the country participate in. To respond to the invitation and grasp the opportunity, CIE assigned Mr. Zheng Lifei and Mr. Zhang Liang to this great event. Co-sponsored by Xinjiang University and China Machine Press, co-organized by Yili Normal University, Cybernet China Ltd. Co and Maple Software Company, the conference focused on furthering communication between the universities in and abroad by sharing excellent philosophy and methods in the field of college mathematics teaching, to promote the teaching reform and improve the teaching quality.
Centered on the computer-aided teaching reform and evaluation model, the topics of conference included: probe and practice of college mathematics teaching reform in the latest engineering context, research and practice of open class teaching reform in the context of Internet+, Math Online, experience in national teaching competition of college maths teachers, exploration of reform in O2O integrated teaching applied to college maths class, teaching of college mathematics, reform of evaluation methods and application of Maple T.A. online-test-system. The keynote speakers were: professor Yin Xunbo from Haerbin Institute of Technology, professor Fan Zhoutin from Center for College Mathematics Teaching of Beijing University of Technology, professor Zheng Zhoushun from Central South University, professor Yao Zeqing from Center for College Mathematics Teaching and Research of Army Engineering University and professor Steven Furino from University of Waterloo, Canada.
Mr. Zheng and Mr. Su actively participated in all sessions of the conference, exchanging ideas with other participants about college mathematics teaching. They found themselves greatly inspired by the conference and determined to improve their teaching competence. By applying the reform achievement into class teaching and online teaching, they will have more students benefited from their teaching.
