At 7:30 pm. on the evening of September 21st, deputy Secretary of CIE Party branch Pei Zhichao started his report for all Y2017 CIE students. Themed on Cultivate and Practice Socialist Core Value to Develop International-Vision-equipped Top-notch Talents, the report was held in the south hall of Xiushen Activity Center on north campus. 

Initiating with socialist core values, Mr. Pei outlined his report in four aspects ---dedication, integrity, benevolence and patriotism. The personal growth requires the one to be goal-oriented, positive, fearless and persevering.

Mr. Pei, taking his person experience as illustration, detailed his idea of essential qualities for personal development and success. He encouraged the student to work hard, be open-minded and keep an eye on the frontier of international scientific research. Besides, he suggested the students be kind and honest in research and social communication. The patriotism ran through his report. Mr. Pei required the students to practice the socialist core values and bear in mind the sense of social responsibility.

Last, the college student counselor Miao Yuyang said: "The inspirational lectures is an extension of military training in national defense education and patriotic education. We hope that students  will constantly improve their own abilities and serve our nation.”
