On November 8th, CIE dean Ou Wenjun and research Long Qinglin visited Jinggan Middle School in Jingyang County to promote NWAFU’s undergraduate admission.

The admission work group had a panel discussion with the middle school leadership, and introduced NWAFU’s development history, education features, preponderant disciplines, and characteristic specialties. The work group also issued publicity materials and university souvenirs and encouraged the students to sign up for NWAFU. Dean Ou Wenjun said, “Education is not an individual responsibility of secondary education or higher education; it should be the combination of the two education phases. I hope the two schools can reach consensus on deepening cooperation and contributing together to student development.”

Ou Wenjun issued scholarships and certificates to the outstanding student who received NWAFU Scholarship. A prize winner said, “This scholarship positively affirms my study performance. It also aspires me to work hard and achieve better results in the future.”

Researcher Long Qinglin delivered speech on “University Education and Talent Dream” to over 400 students in the senior year, and elaborated on university education and its function, ability, and level, as well as how to choose ideal university and major to realize the dream of becoming a talent. The lecture helped the student locate their goals and inspired them to study hard for their dream universities. Long Qinglin also analysed the similarities and differences between secondary education and higher education, and emphasized that at the young age, students should come down to earth and endeavour to take in knowledge so as to get ready for social responsibilities in the future. He also encouraged the senior students to work hard and get admitted by ideal universities. Students on the spot were greatly encouraged by the speech.

This admission promotion was highly valued. Leaders of the middle school showed the work group around the campus and introduced the school’s development and student performance. The two sides also reached an agreement on bilateral communication.
