On December 14th, CIE deputy secretary Pei Zhichao and counsellor Miao Yuyang visit Xianyang Shiyan Middle School for NWAFU undergraduate admission promotion. 

The promotion work group first had a panel discussion with the leadership of Shiyan Middle School, during which the group introduced NWAFU’s development history, school-running characteristics, preponderant disciplines, and featured majors, gave out promotion materials and university souvenirs, and encouraged outstanding students to apply for the undergraduate study. 

Deputy secretary Pei Zhichao also issued NWAFU Outstanding Scholarship and relevant certificate to the outstanding high school students. One of the prize winners said, “This scholarship is a confirmation of my previous study, as well as a motivation for me. I will keep working hard and endeavor to make better achievements.” 

After the scholarship presentation, Pei Zhichao delivered a keynote report titling “Releasing your youthful dream”. He first introduced NWAFU’s history to the senior year students, and by relating to his personal experiences, he helped the students settle great aims and inspire them to work hard and get admitted by the ideal universities with outstanding marks. He also elaborated on China’s actual conditions and current education at both university and middle school levels based on the 19th National Congress of the CPC, and stressed that both college students and middle school students were at the key period of bursting with youthful energy and hungering for knowledge, and therefore should come down to earth to take in knowledge before becoming useful members of the society. Students were fired up by the speech and expressed their expectations for the university life described in the report. Professor Pei Zhichao encouraged the senior-year students to study hard and get enrolled by their ideal universities to lay the groundwork for future. 

This promotion work received high attention. The leader of Shiyan Middle School showed the group to the campus and introduced the school’s history, school motto, student performance, etc., and reached a consensus on deepening exchange and communication.
