Starting from 8:00am on April 14th, 2018, CIE started acceptance inspection and mid-term inspection of 2018 innovation training projects. Projects were put into 2 groups for defence during which 10 experts from relevant colleges served as the jury.

Vice dean Wang Xiaoping presented opening words in the beginning of the inspection. He stressed that sci-tech innovation training program was vital for students’ nurture and assessment. He wished the participants demonstrate their progress and results before making detailed arrangements for the defence.

Every project group started with presentation during which the jury would appoint one of the group members as the speaker. The speaker was expected to elaborated on the project’s research process, research result, and innovation. Following the presentation, other group members should introduce their own duties in the research.

The jury would read project materials, hear about project presentations, raise questions for the research progress or results, give comment and advice to the results, and eventually mark the project.

A total of 54 project groups attended the inspection, including 37 projects formed in 2017 and 17 formed in 2016. 14 two-year projects established in 2017 received mid-term inspection. During the inspection, students and experts communicated actively and passionately. As an importance chance for student development, this inspection achieved great success.
