On the afternoon of November 4th, the delegate led by Liu Huixiang, Deputy Dean and Wang Shuaishuai, Party Secretary of Youth League Committee of Qilu College of Shandong Agricultural University (SAU) visited CIE. The CIE Party Secretary Li Haihua, Deputy Dean Wang Xiaoping and Deputy Party Secretary Li Xiangtuo and other staff of Student Affairs Office attended the reception symposium.

Themed on “The pursuit for great learning makes great-minded talent --- The cultivation model of top-notch innovative talents in agriculture and forestry university”, the introduction to CIE made by Ms. Li Haihua focused on the topics of the nature of CIE, the educational philosophy and practice, and CIE’s achievements in talent cultivation. The report also covered the details of CIE’s facts, specialty of talent cultivation, measures and outcome. She pointed out that CIE has been fully dedicated to the exploration in the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in agriculture and forestry disciplines. The “2+X” cultivation model, mentor-guided study of undergraduate student, teaching-appointment system, the establishment of thorough training in research and innovative abilities for students, teaching reform and international cooperation in education conducted along with the construction of Youren College are all proved successful practice and value experience in talent cultivation mechanism. 　

At the symposium, the two parties exchanged ideas of top students’ selection and management, practical measures of students’ internationalized cultivation, the evaluation of students’ academic performance, the career development of graduated students and supportive policies for students’ development, and reached an agreement for preliminary cooperation in co-hosting "Agricultural and Forestry College POSTER Competition" in the near future. Vice Dean Liu Huixiang extended appreciation for the CIE’s achievements in the training of top-notch talents and hoped that the two sides will exchange experience in more fields, to lay solid foundation for the follow-up reform and innovation of the top-notch talent training work of Qilu College (SAU). The exchange meeting ended with a complete success.
