At 7:00 on the evening of October 9th, a report on Design and Production of Academic Poster was grandly held in the multimedia classroom in College of Innovation and Experiment. Professor Zheng Huiling from the College of Animal Science and Technology was invited as the keynote speaker. This activity aims at improving the students’ academic poster production and design capabilities, and facilitating the success of The 7th Youren College Poster Exhibition and Competition of Innovative Training Project to be in few days.  

At the report, Mz. Zheng introduced the academic poster design and production from perspectives of theory and practice. She pointed out that, the basic content of academic posters should include research content, research significance, research results and contact information, etc., and the design should be clear and concise. In addition, she shared some ideas of how to improve and refine the poster. As she suggested, the most important point was to reach a balance where the lively style in design and standard academic style appropriately integrated.  She then illustrated her ideas with some excellent samples, which further the students’ understanding greatly.

The report was so popular among the students who continued to discuss enthusiastically and actively with their peers. Some students said: "This report greatly build up my confidence. Mz. Zheng’s report helped me out of mess. And now I have got some ideas." Other students said: "I really learned something. I didn’t expect that making academic posters would be such an interesting thing!"
