The students were required to follow the teaching schedule to do the registration, learning preparation, online teaching, and online interaction. They were also required to submit homework in the picture form.

After each class, the students would do the online learning survey which gained strong support from the students. It is shown in the survey results from Mr. Li Shaojun of College of Life Science, the online teaching transmit went extremely well for 7% students, well for 80% and comparatively poor for 12% students. And it is suggested by the results from Sun Jianming of College of Information Engineering that, 18.8% were used to this new way of learning well, 59.3% agreed with it, 18.8% can follow the way and 3.1 hardly adapt to it.

The examination-free recommended graduate of CIE are supposed to finish the required courses for further study in this term. Therefore, CIE helped them with applying for tempo-student-ID and getting in touch with their mentors. With study plan worked out in advance, 26 CIE student now begin their online learning of compulsory courses.

The teaching of the first week ended with a happy note. According to the feedback, the teaching went well and the teachers have gained greater popularity for their strong sense of responsibility. The good beginning are all attributed to the competence and high spirit of the teachers. Meanwhile, CIE has played its role well in teaching management and service, paying daily online visit to teachers, conducting online survey of teaching and learning, collecting suggestions from teachers and offering help anytime for them.

Though the paper homework is not available to both students and teachers, they overcome the difficulties and submit the pictures instead. The Engineering Drawing offered by Hou Wenjie, and the Chemical Engineering Principle offered by Feng Jili were facing the challenge of grading the students’ pictured homework. Time-consuming as the job is, they insisted that each copy of homework graded carefully with correction and comments. The students were so greatly motivated and inspired for learning.
