On September 12th, CIE held the Research and Innovation Competence Assessment for the Y2017 students. The projects to be reviewed are divided into two groups, and the defense was conducted in the multimedia classroom and smart classroom on the first floor of CIE. The panel were professor exports invited from relevant colleges of NWAFU.
The students were required to give a 5-minute multimedia-aided presentation which covers the introduction to their research training and projects, personal experience and feelings, their self-esteem in research and innovation competence, and their ideas for further research. As the Q&A session for each student was about 5 minute, the assessment in all took 10 minutes for each. The panel reviewed the student’s defense materials, listened to their reports, challenged them about their presentation, gave some constructive suggestions and graded their performance.
Students’ research and innovation competence assessment plays an importance role in their academic evaluation and qualification assessment for exam-free graduate study. At the assessment, students and professor experts enjoyed in-depth communication on certain research topics. The complete success of the review reflects the hard work and scientific research achievement of CIE students, which is of great significance for student’ growth.
