On the morning of March 18th, CIE held exchange meeting on educational and teaching reform program Cultivation of Outstanding Talents in the smart classroom of our college. Professor Wang Guodong, professor Shen Zhongxun, professor Wei Xiaomei and professor Lian Po attended the meeting and composed the panel, reviewing the 8 teaching reform programs approved in year 2020. CIE associate dean Mr. Wang Xiaoping served as the host of this meeting.
First, CIE Party Secretary Li Haihua made a detailed introduction to the establishment the program Cultivation of Outstanding Talents. She pointed out that CIE has always been dedicated to giving strong support to the programs alike. Providing the hard and soft environment as best as we can, CIE encourages the teachers to put their innovative teaching philosophy and methods into practice and to take good advantages of the classroom. The teachers are also inspired to make goal-oriented, feasible, practical and innovative researches, with the guidance of the program Cultivation of Outstanding Talents. All their efforts will be productive to the talents cultivation.
At the meeting, the persons in charge of each program reported the development of their researches and practice, and achievements made. Then they shared their follow-up plans and problems and received the comments and suggestions from the experts. From the program objectives, contents, the improvement of process evaluation, to the moral education, the suggestions put forward by the experts helped to pave the way for further research of the programs. The experts and the teachers communicated more about how to improve and refine the follow-up plans. The teachers also learned a lot from each other and got new ideas.
New situation requires changes and further reform. CIE will keep facilitating the teaching reform, encouraging more teachers to join the exploration in this field and to transform the research achievements into teaching practice, and continuously improve the teaching effect and the quality of talents cultivation.
