On the morning of September 3rd, CIE Party Secretary Li Haihua and Deputy Party Secretary Li Xiangtuo visited the new CIE students.

Military training is one of the most important orientation activities, playing a key role in enhancing the students’ patriotism and the sense of national defense. Right at the command of the military coach, the students gathered in no time. Soon, the ground was full of their loud chant and the sound their marching steps, showing the students’ welcome to the heads of CIE.

The CIE heads first extended sincere thanks to the coaches and inquired about the status quo of the training. Mz. Li encouraged the young students, “ Military training is the first class that all freshmen are supposed to attend. It will lay solid foundation for the following four-year life at university. You will learn about what team spirit and dedication are, and what they mean to an individual and society. To cooperate with other and keep an eye on the current affairs is the awakening of one’s sense of responsibility.”

Then she said to the students, “ The military training is just half finished. The following training might be more tough and the coach more strict with you all. I hope you will hang on and show the world the best you. I notice that some of you have got dark skin and even get burnt. But they will be part of you and part of your strong-mind. It is not the result but the process they matters more for the military training.”

Before leaving, they sent gifts to all students and gave their best wishes to them. We are all looking forward to your military training show before long. Their visit warms the hearts of all young students who vow to obey the rules of the training, finish all required tasks with excellent performance and win the greatest honor for CIE.
