On February 11, every family was busy with preparing for the New Year’s Eve. However, CIE student Liu Zeyuan was still working on his experiment in the lab on the south campus. Party Secretary Li Haihua and Deputy Party Secretary Li Xiangtuo of our college visited the lab and sent a red envelop and wishes to him, telling him to feel free to contact the college if he needs any help.

After learning about Liu’s experiment, Mz. Li said earnestly, “Although you can’t reunite with your parents in the New Year’s Eve, you’re with our college and teachers. CIE is your home, and your teachers and schoolmates are your families. Struggles are the keynote of youth. For years, many teachers of NWAFU have spent the spring festival working on their research in the lab, because we know that no pains no gains. I believe that your hard work will pay off. But don’t forget to send your greetings and wishes to your family online. I wish you and your family a happy spring festival!”

In response, Liu said, “I went into the lab with the help of my instructor as early as the first year of my college life. Now I’m a final-year student, but I’ve already working on my postgraduate study and thesis experiment. My family is really supportive about my staying here during the winter holiday. They look forward to my achievement on research and also appreciate the care from our college. I will have a meaningful spring festival here.”

It was known that CIE made a series of arrangements according to the instructions of NWAFU from the beginning of the winter holiday, including documenting students’ holiday plan and ensuring a safe homecoming for them during the epidemic situation. For students staying at the school for holiday, the College mentors was responsible for caring about their physical and mental life and thesis experiments, thus helping students spend a meaningful and productive holiday.
