The two-day period of Northwest A&F University 2018 Sports Meeting ended successfully. Whether it is disciplined students sitting on the sidelines during the meeting, officers working in the the Youth League Committee Student Union, athletes running on the court, or college leaders coming to cheer for the participants, All of them interpret the innovative spirit of "Unite as One and Strive for Excellence".

In the opening ceremony of the Meeting, the square movements of College of Innovation were trim and neat along with the majestic music. Our uniform pace and loud slogan made all teachers and students see the good spirit of students from College of Innovation, and cute image of the college mascot became a hot topic at the opening ceremony.

Our students at 2018 Sports Meeting not only showed a positive mental outlook, but some individuals gained outstanding achievement. In the men's triple long jump and high jump competition, Lei Xiaole, a student of Biotechnology Class 1702, successfully entered the finals and scored a seventh and eighth place respectively. When it comes to the Meeting as well as games, Lei Xiaole said: “When I was in the game, I didn’t even think I could score a place but I just told myself to do my best. Although my performance in the final was not excellent, as a college I was extremely excited to be a participant on the behalf of our college member. Our college is more like a family in which we help each other, love each other and move forward together."

Zheng Renwei, Song Qianqian and Wang Peiyuan from Biotechnology Class 1601 scored a fifth place in the four-legged game. When the three contestants recalled the course of the game, they said: “The four-legged game has a high requirement for the overall coordination and level of understanding of the team, so we focused on the coordination of the movement in the training process. Before the game we felt a little nervous, and we encouraged each other; during the game we were only thinking of running to the finish line without distraction.” Wang Peiyuan also said: “Through this game, I have had a deeper understanding of teamwork and I’ve gained happiness from the game."

While the athletes on the field have had struggled, there were still many staff working silently behind them. In order to enable athletes to prepare for games without anything to fear, the staff actively eliminated all obstacles and ensured the smooth running of the sports meeting.

 "A man of scholarly virtue; excellence in reading and practicing", which is an eternal life creed for students in college of innovation. This is true of academic research, and sports competition is the same. The track is still extending and the blood is still boiling. We believe that new achievements are just a new starting point. Our students will seek more brilliance and dreams in a series of challenges in the future, and create more glories and brilliance!
