Three months preparation and organization finally came to a great success that the Female Reading Community of Youren College now has been put into pilot run, which is playing magic role of making reading an enjoyable thing to do for the student.s 

Located on the ground floor of No. 16 building of Youren College, the reading community is a small but exquisite library of about 90 square meters, offering the places for individual reading and also separate rooms for group reading and discussion. There is a big collection of pick-to-read books for female reading, including the works of female writers and those on female celebrities. It is also rich in varieties that covering office novels and guidebook, motivational novels, fictions and biographies, all donated by some organization or from individuals. The layout of rooms is a piece of art design for making the reading relaxing and enjoyable. The simple bookshelf in light colour, the small round table, the cosy cane armchairs, the comfortable sofa, the plants and the light of warm colour make the air full of the fragrance of books and knowledge. The rich collection, smart layout and sweet service all show that the community is the best place where the readers can benefit from reading as well as from exchanging ideas with their peers. The student Liu Yuanze said that, ‘the library is such a lovely place for reading. The varieties of book collection and room layout are so nice that it is a pleasant surprise and an attraction to me as well. Best place for reading!’

The Female Reading Community of Youren College is established for offering a quiet and cosy place for students to do readings, which has been proved a good way to get them released from stressful study and get into the habit of reading, and also enrich their knowledge. The community is completely student-governed, from the design to management and to service, and is open to all students of Youren College. In addition, there will be activities to be organized soon.
