Academic assessment and further education programme choosing would be the two events in front of the Y2011 students, prior to any other affairs in this term. Therefore, CIE held two student symposiums in CIE multi-media classroom on 24th and 27th May respectively, to help the Y2011 students get clear picture in these two aspects. College Dean Professor Chen Yuchun and Associate Dean Mr. Wang Jun co-presided over the meeting, accompanied by other college staff of teaching affairs office and student’s affairs office.

At the symposium, Mr. Wang explained in details the requirements and procedures of academic assessment and A&F Examination-Free Admission of Master’s Degree Study Programme, the academic plans for different education programme, as well as the composing and defence of final thesis.  Then Mr. Chen and Mr. Wang co-responded to the students’ questions about their academic development, research training assessment, the policies of A&F Examination-Free Admission of Master’s Degree Study Programme, as well as the required credits of undergraduate programme and how to choose academic mentor. 

It is a win-win practice of this symposium, from which the college figure out the problems that the student concerned over most, while the students got a clear picture of academic assessment and other related affairs.
