To give a major push to the further communication between the college and the students parents and the development of students management and cultivation, CIE held the new students’ parents meeting on 17th August. College Dean Mr. Chen Yuchun and Party Secretary Mz. Sun Yu’ai were present to meet over 40 students parents. Associate Dean Mr. Wang Jun served as the host.

At the meeting, Mr. Chen extended his heartful welcome to the parents first, and introduced them the long history of the agricultural civilization of Yangling. He then made a systematic introduction about the establishment history of CIE, the cultivation philosophy, training objectives, orientation of education reform, cultivation model and Boya education, illustrating with the achievement that our college has gained in exploring top-notch agricultural talents cultivation reform and student’s ability of innovation in science. Mr. Chen suggested the parents inculcate their children to be ambitious, generous and independent.      

College Party Secretary Mz. Sun Yun’ai gave a brief introduction to the students management system and cultivation philosophy. She then extended sincere thanks to parents for their devotion to raising the children and their choice of CIE. In addition, she proposed the parents two “adaptation”s. One is learn to understand and practice their new role of being college student’s parents, which requires attention to the communication with their children and concern over the children’s study. The other is to adapt to the cooperation with CIE, so as to serve as essential supporter of their children’s college life.

Last, the college answered the inquiries about tracking system, independent management system and personal-interest-centered development, and listened to the student’s parents’ suggestions about talents cultivation and student management. It was a great success of this meeting, which paved the way for further communication and cooperation between the student’s parents and the college, promising the prospect of the over-all development of the students.
