On the evening of 17th August, Youren College held the ice-breaking meeting for the new college students. College Dean Mr. Chen Yuchun, Party Secretary Mz. Sun Yu’ai, Associate Dean Wang Jun, form teachers of all new students, along with Mr. Zhaili, Mr. Wang Bo and Mr. Wang Yanwen attended the meeting.

College Dean Mr. Chen Yuchun and Party Secretary Mz. Sun Yu’ai extended warm welcome to the new students at the meeting. They encouraged the students to get used to new life shortly, and always keep in mind the college motto as as to make themselves more goal-oriented. They suggest the young people to make full use of the abundant teaching and learning resources of Youren College, and to behave as knowledgeable and elegant agricultural majors.

Mentors of Bio-Engineering major Mr. Long Qinglin and Bio-technology major Mr. Lian Xihong, who are experienced in student management, advised the freshmen to set feasible goal of life and study. Bio-engineering class 142 invited Y2011 student Sun Xinyao to their meeting to share his experience in life and study, who encouraged the students to take part in the college activities in his speech.

The ice-breaking meeting closed when the new students made their self-introduction. It was a great success of this meeting, which furthered students’ understanding of their future life and about the college and enhanced the friendship between the students.
