On the afternoon of 12th September, the Opening Ceremony of Youren College was held in Xiushan student center on north campus. A&F Vice president Zhao Zhong, A&F Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Ma Jianhua, Senior Staff from The Chinese University of Hongkong and other universities, relatives of Mr. Yu Youren, president of Shaanxi Yu Youren Calligraphy Association Mr. Zhong Mingshan, curator of Mr. Yu Youren museum of Sanyuan Shaanxi, representatives of China National Institute of Work Standard, A&F Alumni Association of Jiangsu Privince, A&F Alumni Association of Gansu Privince, A&F Alumni Association of Shannxi Privince, A&F Alumni Association of Xianyang City, and teacher and student representatives of A&F attended the  ceremony, which was hosted by A&F Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Ma Jianhua.  

First, A&F Vice president Mr. Zhao Zhong announced the opening of Youren College and awarded the appointment letter of Honorary Dean to Mr. Yu Ziqiao (grandson of Mr. Yu Youren). Then, first Dean of Youren College Mr. Yu Ziqiao, former president of The Chinese University of Hongkong Mr. Liu Zunyi, A&F Vice president Mr. Zhao Zhong and A&F Party Secretary Mr. Ma Jianhua co-unveiled the nameplate of Youren College.

Professor Yu Ziqiao addressed the ceremony, expressing his love to Youren College and his hope to the students, followed by Mr. Liu Zunyi’s introduction to college system of Chinese University of Hongkong and his suggestions to Youren College.

Mr. Zhao Zhong, in his speech, extended sincere thanks to professor Yu Ziqiao for him willing to serve as Dean of Youren College, and to professor Liu Zunyi for his support and help. Mr. Zhao then pointed out that, the establishment of Youren College has been a significant practice in exploring the talents cultivation system under the modern high education system. He hoped that the Youren College would keep playing an irreplaceable role in improving the quality of talents cultivation.

At the ceremony, Zhongtian Group of Gansu Province presented the new college Youren Scholarship, China National Institute of Work Standard presenting Yuantong Science Workshop,A&F Alumni Association of Gansu Privince presenting Feitian Bookstore, A&F Alumni Association of Shannxi Privince Presenting Beiyue Bookstore and A&F Alumni Association of Xianyang City presenting Qinhan Bookstore.
