Presentation on application for National Undergraduate Innovative Experimentation Project was held in CIE multimedia classroom on the afternoon of 28th September, at which Ms. Zhao Lu from CIE teaching affairs office introduced to the Y2012 and Y2013 potential applicants the A&F student-conducted experimentation projects.

In the first place, Ms. Zhao introduced the general plan of CIE on training of students research competence. She emphasized that doing research has long been a routine, as well as a prerequisite of choosing academic mentor and research orientation. The training program is to improve the research ability of trainees periodically with three sequential sections financially supported by CIE, which are student-conducted experiment, university’s major projects and supported post-experiment. All students are required to finish the training according their own study plan and development. 

In addition, Ms. Zhao explained the project management, project schedule, project budget, application, implementation and final defense of research report. She emphasized the change of the number of applicants The student could make the application individually, or in group with maximum 3 team members, so that more students would be highly involved in the projects. She encouraged the students to be more active and observative , and to ask for helo from college or their instructors as long as they are in need.  

This presentation eliminated the students confusion about project application and management, and furthered their understanding of CIE distinctive teaching program. On the receiving part, The students are inspired to make periodic plan of research for their systematic personal development.
