To stimulate the enthusiasm of students and improve their innovative ability, on 11st November, CIE held the meeting to review the project proposals of Y2014 National Undergraduate Innovative Experiment Project and student-conducted experiment project.

CIE Y2012 &Y2013 students participated in the proposal defense. Among the 96 applications, 55 of which were key projects of university-level while the other 41 were student-conducted experiment projects. Ten experts form A&F Life Science College, Veterinary Medicine College, Animal Science College, Horticultural College, Science College and Plant Protection College were invited to form the panel of judges.

At the proposal defense, leader of each group with the aid of PPT presented their research significance, aims, contents, technical approach and experiment plan. In accordance with the project proposals and presentation, the judges raised questions to the groups and gave their suggestion on content and methods of all experiments.      

To encourage more students get involved int he research practice, CIE extend the terms for the lower year grades. On the other hand, experience sharing meeting about research project application were held, which greatly arouse students interests in research. The number of application went up by 77.8% compared to those of last year.  

The proposal defense was another way of communication between experts and the students. It not only broadened the views of students, but also inspired their innovative thoughts. Therefore, it plays a significant role in furthering the implementation of experiments.
