On May 25th and 27th, Y2013 students of CIE Bio-engineering base class were lucky to experience flipped classroom --- a class of new teaching model. Conducted by Mz. Lin Yanbing, the flipped Micro-biology class gave the floor to the students who enjoyed greatly the chance of experiencing scientific research and the beauty of Life Science.

The students were seen greatly active in this reformed class. Working in groups, they focused their reading and discussion on the research papers of micro-biology. Then they generalize the new knowledge and advanced notions which were later shown to the whole class. In addition, all ideas and confusions presented motivated heated discussion among the class. Having observed all presentations, the teacher voiced her answers to all unsettled questions raised by the students and made encouraging and instructive comments on the presentations.

The intensive and prompt interaction between the teacher and the students remarkably activated the class. The students benefit greatly from this class, seeing the secret of science and acquiring rich knowledge. The great success is all attributed to Mz. Lin, a pioneer of teaching reform whose constant encouragement enabled the students to explore the world of science and research actively.
