On the morning of 19th November 2014, A&F held special session on promoting the construction of Youren College. A&F Deputy Party Secretary Mr. Ma Jianhua presided over the meeting. And the senior administrators of A&F Student Affairs Division, A&F Youth League Committee, Food Science and Engineering, Enology College and CIE attended the meeting.

Report on the construction and pilot work of Youren College was presented at the beginning of the meeting, followed by the plenary discussion about the problems in the plan and practice. Instructive suggestions were also given then. It was widely acknowledged that Youren College provided an opportunity for the booming of students’ cultural activities and the improvement of their life service system. Restraints-free student community, lectures on Chinese ancient civilization and other cultural activities have the students thoroughly experience the active role that Youren College has been playing in enriching their study and life.  

Mr. Ma pointed out that the further exploration in general education management and new mode of operation of Youren college would succeed when we associate the experience of first-class universities at home and abroad with the A&F general situation. Therefore, the effective communication between relative organizations should be built up in order to advance the development of students daily education and management. In addition, student self-discipline committee and college YLC affairs office should be established for students self-management, self-service and self-education. The students should be familiarized with college and its system, so as to enhance their sense of belongings to college and play active role in college development and reform.
