To optimize the talents training mode, to learn from other leading universities of China the experience in top-notch innovative talents cultivation and to improve the schooling quality and level, CIE delegate of 3 people lead by College Dean Chen Yuchun paid visit to Zhu Kezhen College of Zhejiang University.

Selection and redistribution of students, management of school roll, construction of honors program as well as the evaluation system of students’ quality were the focus of our study. 

At the symposium, Executive Associate Dean of Zhu Kezhen College Ying Yubin, Associate Dean Tang Xiaowu and College Deputy Party Secretary Zhong Rongrong expressed their sincere welcome to our delegates before the host made brief introduction to college educational philosophy, administration system and management system, and explained in details the selection of students, recognition of honors program, rank of academic evaluation, mentor system, management of honors program. They also exchanged their ideas of how to solve the problems, for instance, how to unit and balance the experimental college, professional college and other departments and how to enhance students’ sense of belongings. Intensive but fruitful two-day visit was a great opportunity for both parties to learn and benefit from each other.

Zhu Kezhen College of Zhejiang University was founded in May 2000, in the name of one of the famous former university president Mr. Zhu Kezhen. Its former was the Zhejiang University Engineering Mixed Class, established in 1984 as an honor college for all outstanding undergraduates and a important base of talents cultivation and elite cultivation.

Ever since the establishment of CIE, the two colleges have been in good relation and strengthened mutual support and development.
