Assessment on Research Competence of Y2010 Research-oriented Program Student ...

With the instruction of devoted mentors and personal hard-working, Y2010 students of research-oriented program of our college finished the 3rd year research training program. On 22nd June, 105 students attended the presentation of research competence evaluation. 

According to the Students’ Selective Program Regulation of Innovative Experimental College, the evaluation of students innovative ability is a major component to assess their essential factors for access to graduate study, which consists of routine assessment, mentor’s review and experts inspection. The three-week preparation of our college guaranteed the well-organized final evaluation.

15 experts from in total 9 colleges of Life Science, Animal Science, Plant Protection and other colleges were invited as a evaluation judges to give full inspection of students’ scientific research training. The inspection consist of the assessment of students’ performance in scientific research and innovation activities and mentor-guided scientific research training, as well as their involvement in academic competition, social practice and other teaching and learning practice. All presentation of study were well-illustrated with PPTs and videos and finished within the time required, followed by the questions raised by judges.  

The presentation, as the students see it, was not only a systematic review of their scientific research training, but also an opportunity for communication with teachers and other students whose comments would benefit them greatly on further research and inspire them with more innovative ideas.
