On 12th Dec, symposium on teaching appointment of 2012 autumn term was held by College of Innovation Experiment in the college multimedia classroom. Heads of A&F Academy Division and College of Innovation Experiment, along with over 20 teachers from College of Life Science, College of Science and Department of Foreign Languages were present at the meeting. 

First, the observation group of college English gave a report on their visit and observation during 5th-8th November in Southeast University and Chongqing University. Associate Dean of Foreign Languages Department Tian Zhiqiang introduced the English teaching system and reform in those two universities and put forward his ideas of English teaching in terms of curriculum, teaching facilities and the construction of teaching team. Associate Dean of Innovation Experiment College Wang Jun made an introduction to the practices of Hanhong College Southwest University and Hongshen College Chongqing University in the reform of top-notch innovative talents training model, curriculum and study-discussion teaching.

Teachers at the meeting exchanged their ideas of teaching reform,  shared their teaching experience and gave their advice on student selection, teaching methods reform and students evaluation methods. Vice Director of A&F Academy Division Li Haihua voiced her opinions of how to improve the teaching condition and teaching quality, followed by the speeches of Wang Guodong, Dean of Innovation Experiment College and Chen Yuchun, Party Secretary of Innovation Experiment College on how to motivate the teachers and students to better the  appointment teaching work.

Appointment teaching is one of the key promotions of teaching reform in our university. At this meeting, experience of top-notch innovative talents training and the achievements of teaching reform promoted by appointed teaching were both shared, which would be a effective push for further reform of student-centered curriculum and improvement of teaching quality.
