Mobilization Meeting on Discipline-Oriented Segregation of Students Held by ...

On the evening of May 30th, mobilization meeting on discipline segregation was held in classroom N8T01. Students of innovative experiment class (grade 2010) all attended an Associate Dean of college Mr. Wang Jun hosted the meeting.

First, Mr. Ma Chuan, teacher of college teaching affairs office read off the notice on the discipline segregation and explained the requirements of related affairs, as well as introduced the rules, patterns, disciplines, mentors and procedures.

College Dean Professor Wang Guodong gave aN encouraging report to the students. With the reference of previous analysis on academic development and career of students in different programs, as well as the college training program for innovative talents, he encouraged the students to make rational choice for the best suitable academic route. In addition, he emphasized the option of discipline and major and the preparation for the segregation, to minimize the possibility of potential problems. He also reminded the students interested in research program, that hard study in the third year played a key role in acquiring professional knowledge. On the other hand, team spirit and independence of scientific ability were as important as the training with the instructions of the mentors. Professor Wang informed the students of the importance of academic career and their personal development. With witty language and vivid illustration, he unfolded a clear picture in front of the students. Then he gave detailed answers to any questions the students raised.

The meeting was inspiring and informative, which casts a light for the students on their way to success and helps with the operation of the discipline-oriented segregation.
