On the verge of the 36th Teachers’ Day, in accordance with the principle of “teachers and students advancing together”, Innovation Experimental College initiated multi-channel and multi-form thank-you activities for teachers. These activities were aimed at creating a warm and harmonious university cultural atmosphere and demonstrating teachers’ passionate, dedicated and selfless character, thus expressing deep thanks of students, cultivating sense of gratitude, closing the distance between teachers and students as well as heightening teachers’ sense of happiness and mission.

The visits of college leaders were quite heartwarming. “As a young teacher, I’ve never thought of being so lucky to have this from college leaders in person,” Xu Tengfei said. As the class teacher of Biology Base Class 1903, he was completely excited when accepting flowers. On September 9, on behalf of the college leading body, General Party Branch Secretary Li Haihua and Deputy Dean Wang Xiaoping sent flowers and care to the class teachers, academic instructors and course lecturers, expressing thanks to those who have been devoted themselves to education for so long. Li and Wang also gave full recognition to the outstanding achievements the teachers have made and listened about challenges and difficulties in their work and life. As Li Haihua indicated, although the College has not been equipped with its own classrooms and laboratories, both educators and students of the College are enjoying the best facilities of the University. Despite a great deal of subject barriers and tough work, they have admirably cultivated groups of “Seeds of NWAFU” with solid basic knowledge and excellent scientific literacy. In the meantime, Li also encouraged teachers to continue to carry forward the fine conduct of dedication, realism and creativity, making greater contributions to the training of top innovative talents.

On the top of that, this harvest season witnessed students’ active participation in expressing thanks with their talent. Themed by “kind influence of teachers is like spring breeze and rain, nourishing a wealth of grateful students”, the Youth League Committee of the College planned ahead and collected works of poems, paintings, calligraphy and micro-videos among students in an attempt to create a harmonious connection between teachers and students while combining aesthetic spirit with thanksgiving education. At the special moment of 9:10 am on September 10, the College official WeChat platform posted the best wishes from over 100 students to their teachers.

“The first time we left home and enter the college, it was you who listened to our worries and helped us out, and it was you again who planned the future for us and made our class a warm family,” Environmental Engineering Advanced Class 1901 said in the thank-you video to their class teacher. Other individuals and classes also spoke their minds through poems, handwritten cards, hand-painted posters and calligraphy work.
  
For a long time, developing students’ comprehensive quality has been the key work of Innovation Experimental College. The thanksgiving activities on this Teachers’ Day are only one typical part of the College’s quality-oriented education. In the future work, the College will keep up promoting education in ideals, beliefs and patriotism, and making arduous efforts to foster top innovative talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor.
