Creative Ornament Glorifying the Warm Dormitory

To beautify the living environment of CIE students and to create cosy atmosphere of dormitory culture, Life Department of CIE student union organized the creative dormitory competition which also aims at enhancing the dormitory cohesion and stimulating students’ enthusiasm of creation.

On the morning of 9th October, the judge group composed by student union members of CIE, Food Science and Engineering College and Natural Resources and Environment College, and the representatives of Y2014 CIE students, evaluated the creatively ornamented dormitories. All members of dormitories contributed greatly to the decoration of their rooms. Some were refreshed by the wall-paper, some were painted pink while some create a wall of encouraging slogans. All trimmed dormitories took on brightly new look, which warm the hearts of the students. Last, room 17-209 won the first prize, while room 16-211 and 16-117 won the second and the third prize respectively.

The dormitory design competition is themed on warmth, which encouraged the student to make their creativity to full play and put up their dormitories more peculiar and distinctive. As expected, this activity enhance the understandings between the students, promoting their friendship and strengthening their team spirit. When the activity raised the sense of collective honor,it also taught the students how to transfer a dormitory to a cozy home.
