To have the students know more about the function and book collection of A&F library, A&F librarian Miss Zhang Na was invited by CIE to give a induction report in classroom N8T03 to all Y2013 students.

Focusing on the printed and digital collection of the library, Ms. Zhang’s report began with a piece of video that introducing the libraries on north and south campus, inclusive their history, development, interior layout, access to resources and library rules. She also encouraged the students’ to realize the importance of the resources and take advantage of the resources for research and study. When it came to digital resources, Ms Zhang logged in the A&F library online system and explained to the student how to borrow books online and how to search for reference and literature from data base. 

Though it was not in its perfect condition, the digital resources was as abundant as expected, said Ms. Zhang. The students were encouraged to take advantage of either digital or printed collection to support their study and innovative research.

The report was well-illustrated and informative which was of great help for the students to understand the function and library loan system, therefor laying solid foundation for their study and research.
