From: CIE Student Affairs Office           By:      Date: 2013-10-15

The lecture of Introduction to Disciplinary Development of Animal Medicine was given to over 60 CIE Y2013 students by their academic mentor Doctor Liu Jun, which symbolizes the commencing of CIE Y2013 Students’ Series Lectures of Understanding Your Major and Brightening Your Future.

Illustrated by vivid pictures, Doctor Liu’s lecture demonstrated the students the general background of talents cultivation, teacher resources and scientific research development of the Animal Medicine discipline, and emphasizes the curriculum, disciplinary orientation, construction of discipline base and platform, academic achievements, graduate outlook and personal development. Doctor Liu encouraged the students to fully understand the CIE 2+X cultivation model for comprehensively estimating themselves, to think over their development orientation, to make self-examination that if they would be full-prepared psychologically and academically for the Bachelor-Master-Doctoral Degree study. As long as they work out their academic plan, one should be whole-heartedly engaged in the pursuit of their goal. In addition, Doctor Liu gave some instructive suggestions to help the students with balancing the Doctoral Degree study and choosing academic mentors.

It has been planned that more lectures or tutorials will be organized for the promotion of CIE Y2013 Students’ Series Lectures of Understanding Your Major and Brightening Your Future, so as to broaden students’ academic horizon. Experts and academic mentors will be invited from CIE reception colleges to direct the students in choosing disciplines, mentors and research orientation.
